The End is oh so near!

It has only been 15 very long weeks but this fall semester is almost completed. Can we say a big fat yay? YAY! This semester for me was like one very long and narrow tunnel, that at times seemed like there was no shiny beacon of light at the end. You know, like that through the mountain pass that seems to be a little thrilling at first and then even if you strain your eyes you still can’t see the end. So you enjoy the ride and meander along just basking in the glory of what you’re doing and where you’re going knowing that when you emerge you will see the beauty of what’s been hidden behind those walls. And just as you remember that you can’t see the light, panic begins to creep through you and starts to bubble and right before you have that full blown hysterical melt down…there it is! There is that glimmer of ray of sunshine that reminds you the end is near and it is almost over, you just have to keep trucking.

I am so close to being done with school that I can smell the diploma. When that day comes it will be so magical and I will do every bit of rejoicing that my lungs and throat can handle. So I’ll keep trucking because I can barely see that light and it is glorious!

Busy busy busy

It’s so close to the school semester being over and I could not be more excited! Along with every end of the semester comes finals and end of the year projects that makes the last few weeks jam packed with work, work, work. So December this year will be unlike any other when you add the usual hussle and bustle of the year to school. And then not only is there the crazy holiday madness that seems to creep up on me every year but throw in my daughters birthday and now this year we have added cheer competition! Oy vey! So it just posses the question…does one every really have it ALL together? I, at least, like pretend I do. At the very least I keep myself thoroughly entertained and am never bored.

Lighting Project

Lighting is one of the most important factors when working with photographs or videos. It helps illuminate your subject and control shadows. Here I have some examples of the 3 basic principles of lighting used for video and film.

The first photo shows the key light.

This is one of the most stressful years I have experience at The University of Texas at Tyler. This class has been no exception. There is always something to be done. With that being said, I have learned a lot about media! This is great considering that I will need to use this content in my career and I cannot wait to put it to use. I am now egger to learn more in this class!
